What Is Restylane and How Does it Work?

Restylane is a type of dermal filler used on the face to combat signs of aging, such as lines and wrinkles. Its primary ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is found naturally in our bodies. As we age the body produces less HA, so by the time we hit our forties our skin is becoming drier with lines and wrinkles beginning to form.

Restylane is injected under the skin with a syringe. It takes only moments to address each area. You may be given some local anaesthesia as you may feel discomfort during the injection. Once the procedure is completed, you may experience localized swelling and redness, but these should subside after a day or two.
