Dr Rich Passion is an Orthopedic Surgeon based in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. An orthopedic surgeon takes care of everything that allows you to move and be active: bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, nerves and muscles. In short, he examines, diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system with surgery and corrective devices.

In 1993, he graduated from Ateneo De Manila University then went on to the University of the Philippines, Diliman where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1997. He graduated as a Doctor of Medicine at the same university in 2004 and went on to become a founding member and secretary general of ASEAN Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy in 2012.

As an orthopedic surgeon and former athlete, it’s important the Dr Pasion keeps himself in good shape both physically and mentally. Focus Athletics is a gym and fitness center where scientifically-tailored training systems are integrated into a regime to aid post-surgery recovery in order for the clients to reach their full athletic capacity.

Alongside a fully-qualified physiotherapy team Dr Pasion evaluates each case; targeting weak points. A coach then develops the exercise and conditioning programs to help clients attain their goals. The ethos is simple: work harder than your opponent. The results speak for themselves and many professional athletes who believed they’d suffered career-ending injuries are back in the game.

He is currently a fellow of the Philippine Orthopedic Association and Philippine Shoulder Society and a board member of Philippine Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He is an International Fellow of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Dr Rich Pasion is board-certified and specializes in sports medicine, orthopedics, arthroscopy, reconstructive surgery: knee, shoulder and elbow, musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries and minimally invasive surgery.At Focus Athletics he develops scientifically-tailored training systems to help clients’ post-surgery rehabilitation.
