The Senior Consultant, Dr Marc Tay, is an experienced ophthalmologist who has been practising for over 25 years. He has been performing laser refractive surgery for 20 years and has a special interest in this field, having been a founding member of the Laser Vision Centre, Singapore National Eye Centre when laser vision correction technology was first introduced into the country.

Dr Tay is also one of the few eye surgeons in Singapore who is trained in the bladeless and flapless laser vision correction technique, ReLEx® SMILE (Refractive Lenticule Extraction, Small Incision Lenticule Extraction). In addition, he specialises in small incision cataract surgery and also deals with the management of other general eye conditions, such as the management of glaucoma, retinal diseases, general ophthalmology and oculoplastic (eye bag and eyelid) surgery.
