July 2018I have just had a very similar experience with Dr Pornthep at Bangpakok 9 hospital. I went to them directly so not through Cosmeditour but I am still dealing with the aftermath.I booked in for a Breast Augmentation revision after having had it done 15 years previous here in New Zealand and I was told I should get new implants at approx the 15 year mark. I was also unhappy with the look of them with excess skin and feeling that they did not look "natural". I also booked for a Tummy tuck and requested Dr Pornthep because he had performed Surgery on My Sister in Law and my Mother in Law and I thought the scarring was good. I was very nervous as the first surgery I had was with a top surgeon and cost a lot of money but my circumstances had changed and the only reason I could afford this surgery was due to a small inheritance. I booked and travelled alone due to childcare issues. When I arrived I felt reassured with the way I was picked up from the airport and settled in but the day of my consultation was a nightmare. Dr Pornthep marked up my Tummy tuck and the scar line was so high I couldn't understand why. I had requested a low scar to enable me to wear a bikini and it was so high. He then said that he was not prepared to perform my breast surgery as he felt he could not improve results! I just about died as I had come so far with huge expectations. I tried to convince him to try and he would not. I cried and cried, I had no support and they did not know what to do with me. He sent me away with my marking to decide whether to go through with the Tummy tuck. I had come all that way and organised child care and paid airfares, I felt I had to at least go through with the Tummy tuck. Later that day he operated and I went through the recovery. I decided to get a 2nd opinion on my breasts and another surgeon who had a way better bedside manner agreed to perform it with confidence but I had to extend my stay which meant I had to pay for a new flight and more accomodation and it was very difficult. Long story short, I was more than happy with my initial breast results but when I got home the results were awful. I still have excess skin and a large shelf like protrusion on each side and my back flanks which I had Liposuctioned look the same if not worse. My tummy button is so small you can't see it and as expected my scar is ridiculously high. I started emailing the hospital on my return and they said it was swelling. A year later and I cannot even get the hospital to respond to my emails. I have threatened email action but nothing. I had one email from Dr Pornthep suggesting a revision and then weeks later he is saying he does not recommend that due to lack of skin even though I have sent numerous photos of handfuls of skin! SO frustrating that they do not seem to even read my emails and my concerns. Eventually my breasts developed a small double bubble but the surgeon immeditely offed a revision at no cost for his services which I was really happy with. After months of no response I had a consult with a New Zealand surgeon who was shocked at why the scar was so high and suggested a revision with an extended scar to get rid of the ugly shelf sides, a new tummy button and further lipo. I am so angry with myself for going to Thailand. I want them to fix it but they won't even respond to my emails so what can I do???? So upset with my deformity and depressed. Don't go to Dr Pornthep or Thailand.
